Funding for Social Justice Projects
USNF has funding in our operating budget to support USNF programs and activities that promote community engagement and/or social justice. The money is meant to support existing USNF groups, as well as to encourage new work.
Examples of social action projects:
In 2018, we allocated funds for a racial justice workshop, for Blue Communities, to develop an environmental justice library, for the Circle for Social Change, to provide nourishment to a Bystanders Training, and to our partnership with The Sojourner Truth School for Social Change Leadership.
In 2020, money was allocated for the Youth Group's public composting project and for mailings to get out the vote.
Funding can be spent on speakers, events, public awareness activities, lobbying campaigns, etc. The money is not meant for donations to outside organizations.
