Worship at USNF Worship brings us together as a community. Every Sunday morning, worship leaders weave together readings, instrumental music, prayerful meditations, congregational singing, and a sermon. We begin our service by lighting our flaming chalice, a symbol of Unitarian Universalism and our hopes for justice. Following our story for all ages and an enthusiastic community greeting time, the children leave with their teachers for religious education classes. Three Sundays a month, we have two services, at 9:15 and 11 AM. Once a month, we hold a multi-generational service at 10 AM. Based around a story or theme, these worship experiences draw on the talents of congregation members in many ways. They are designed to have something that will engage and inspire people of all ages. Rev. Janet Bush, our minister, leads worship for us three Sundays a month. Our Worship Committee is responsible for lay-led worship during the summer and every five to six weeks from September to June. Members of the Worship Committee also contribute to and participate in minister-led worship, and assist with special services. To learn more about worship at USNF, go to:
